We met Daniel & Goli months before their wedding date over coffee. We instantly clicked when the couple share their vision and dream about their Bali wedding to us. We helped them with venue options and introduce them to Vilia Weddings whose later they trusted to organized their wedding in Bali. We are excited when Daniel and Goli finally decided to have their wedding at Alila Uluwatu Bali, stunning venue overlooking the ocean with wooden cabana.
On their wedding day, we are lucky to witness Persian’s knife dance! The Persian wedding knife dance is a tradition where the couple must retrieve a knife from dancers – usually a bridesmaid, groomsman or young guests – who will tease the couple and keep passing the decorative knife around to other attendees. Daniel is expected to give money to the dancer in return for the knife, in order to show his love for Goli and that he could provide for her. Once he had proven himself, they finally gave him the knife and they were able to cut the cake. What a unique wedding tradition we have never seen before! We love everything about that day and proud to share the wonderful photos taken by Bayu Pratama to you. Enjoy!
